Cory Booker Dropping Out Is Democrats’ Worst Nightmare

The party that touts its “diversity” is left with a lonely asian man on stage with a bunch of old white people after Cory Booker has announced he is dropping out of the presidential race.

“Nearly one year ago, I got in the race for president because I believed to my core that the answer to the common pain Americans are feeling right now, the answer to Donald Trump’s hatred and division, is to reignite our spirit of common purpose to take on our biggest challenges and build a more just and fair country for everyone,” the former candidate said in an email to supporters. “I’ve always believed that. I still believe that. I’m proud I never compromised my faith in these principles during this campaign to score political points or tear down others.”

Democrats losing Cory Booker is no surprise, but it does speak volumes about the party as a whole. Obviously, there’s a split among the left between traditional Democrats, and the new “socialists”, but Booker dropping out isn’t due to his ideas. Instead, Democrat voters have spoken by supporting Joe Biden (among others, but he’s leading), and all his flaws, over a guy who, as he says “never compromised my faith”.

By all accounts, Cory Booker (who may be referred to, affectionately, as Mr. Potato Head), seems like a decent human being. Sure, he’s a Democrat, and we probably disagree with a TON, but he doesn’t have kids with crack habits… He doesn’t have Burisma scandals… He doesn’t have any of the baggage compared to the current frontrunner, and yet Democrat voters, with all their “diversity”, have pushed Booker out of the race.

Booker went on to say “maybe I’m stubborn, but I’ll never abandon my faith in what we can accomplish when we join together.”

“I will carry this fight forward — I just won’t be doing it as a candidate for president this year. Friend, it’s with a full heart that I share this news — I’ve made the decision to suspend my campaign for president.”

Now, seeing as the rest of the field (minus Yang and Gabbard, but… come on…) is a bunch of pasty white guys (Bloomberg and Sanders are Jewish, but most people consider that “white”, so they fit), it’s highly likely someone like Booker, or Kamala Harris get asked to join the ticket as VP. Democrats just HAVE to hit their quotas.
