House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is being absolutely destroyed on twitter after speaking with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on Sunday, and once you see the video you’ll understand why.
As previously reported, the people of Iran took to the streets in celebration of General Qasem Soleimani’s death. A number of people in Iran are currently protesting their oppressive regime, but Democrats are refuting these facts with “facts” of their own.
“We’re seeing now demonstrations in the streets of Iran against the regime,” Stephanopoulos says. “Do you support those protesters, and would it be a good thing if they brought the regime down?”
Pelosi quickly states that the “protesters are protesting, as I understand it, this brand of protesters, about the fact the plane went down, and many students were on that plane.”
One thing worth noting here is that Pelosi didn’t say the plane was shot down by the regime. She said it went down, and that “students” were mad about it…
Fortunately, Stephanopoulos pushed back on the House Speaker’s answer, saying that “they’re calling out the regime for lying. They’re saying death to Khomeini as well.”
Pelosi:
“Yes. Well, whatever it is.
But the fact is this, the — there were protesters in the streets before against the regime. After the taking out of Soleimani, there were protesters in the street, joined together, as you know, against us. That wasn’t good. Taking down this plane is a terrible, terrible tragedy. And they should be held accountable for letting commercial flights go at a time that was so, so dangerous.”
Since the interview, Pelosi has been called out by the tens of thousands, as people who know the truth understand these protesters aren’t just “students”. She is merely perpetuating these lies to to intentionally divide Americans over the situation going on in the Middle East that, frankly, the vast majority of us have NO IDEA about.
The hashtag “#NancyPelosiFakeNews” has since been trending since the interview, and it is quite a doozy of a follow. Here’s a taste:
