Alec Baldwin, a man who once called his then-11 year old daughter a “little pig” for missing a phone call, isn’t hiding his discontent for people with ideological differences, blaming Trump supporters for ruining this country.
Ignoring the fact that Trump supporters aren’t advocating for murdering babies in the womb, mutilating children’s genitals, promoting drag queen story time, and a slew of other degenerate behaviors, it’s hard to see where Baldwin is coming from, but he insists it’s the people who support Trump that are the problem in society.
“American democracy has always been a struggle between the misaligned protections of specific freedoms and a raging, at times intoxicating, 12 cylinder economy,” he said in a series of tweets from the Hilaria and Alec Baldwin Foundation’s Twitter account. “It demanded vigilant/consistent regulation, compassion for the disenfranchised, and the periodic display of a necessary sacrifice that allowed for the long term health of our society at the expense of short term whims.”
A) we aren’t a democracy. Only liberals who want the electoral college to go away refer to the U.S. as a “democracy”. B) America was founded on freedom and personal liberties. This notion that we all exist to help each other is nice to say, but it’s collectivism. The United States is different from the world because we are allowed to live as individuals. Liberals believe we all HAVE to contribute because… something about a social contract nobody signed…
“The desecration of those ideals and the near moral collapse of this country falls squarely in the lap of Trump’s supporters, as opposed to Trump himself, who is merely what psychology labels the ‘objective negative function,'” Baldwin continued.
“Like fire, floods and earthquakes, it destroys, and only destroys, by its very nature. Without prejudice.”
“It is Trump voters, particularly those who would re-elect him who bear the blame. For the undeniable and colossal destruction of everything that matters to us as Americans that cannot be merely monetized.”
Baldwin, like most liberal elites, lives in an echo chamber. He thinks that everyone agrees with the liberal perspective.
Fortunately, we know people like Baldwin will find themselves on the wrong side of history in the end.
