Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau echoed left-wing sentiments when he cast blame on the United States for the Ukrainian passenger plane “accidentally” shot down by Iran.
During an interview with Global News Television, which I assume is in Canada, Trudeau said that the Canadians who lost their lives on that flight would be home if it weren’t for “tensions” being escalated in the region.
“If there were no tensions, if there was no escalation recently in the region, those Canadians would be right now home with their families,” said Trudeau.
“This is something that happens when you have conflict and war. Innocents bear the brunt of it and it is a reminder why all of us need to work so hard on de-escalation, moving forward to reduce tensions and find a pathway that doesn’t involve further conflict and killing.”
Trudeau, like American Democrats, doesn’t believe the United States should have taken out Qasem Soleimani. While claiming to care for the safety of innocent people, he condones eliminating a man responsible for killing thousands of his own people, not to mention tens of thousands of innocent people and American troops in the region.

At the same time, he is the Prime Minister of Canada. It’s reasonable for him to be more concerned with the lives of his citizens than those living under an oppressive regime on the other side of the globe.
His comments come ahead of a meeting being hosted by Canada on Thursday in London, U.K., in which members of the International Coordination and Response Group are set to lay out their next steps for pushing for credible answers and access to black box data.
Trudeau said the goal of the meeting will be looking at ways to demand justice.
“I think full admission, acknowledgment of responsibility and some form of compensation is going to have to come.”
Initially, Iran denied shooting down the plane. A few days later, Iranian officials announced that the plane had been mistaken as a military aircraft, and was accidentally shot down.
Seems like admission and acknowledgment to me, but perhaps Trudeau, and other world leaders are looking for more.
The most logical explanation here is that Iran, lacking the capability to differentiate between a passenger plane and military fighter jets, shot down a plane full of innocent people bound for Ukraine.
Why so many of these people were going from Iran to Canada is something that won’t be addressed, but it’s worth thinking about…
