The left wing media has attempted to push the narrative that General Qasem Soleimani was a beloved figure in Iran, but videos suggest the people were not a fan of the now-deceased member of the oppressive Islamic regime.
In a video that has gone viral over the last week, Erica Kasraie, Vice President of Human Rights Policy for the Middle East with the Victor Marx Group, talks about what she knows is going on in a country that the media would have you believe is in mourning.
“The people are happy,” she says in the video that’s been seen by tens of millions of people. “The people in Iran are happy that this man, who is responsible for the slaughter of so many people is gone.”
Kasraie goes on to ask these Soleimani sympathizers “where was your outrage last month when the regime slaughtered 1600 kids for peaceful protests?”
“Where’s your outrage for the thousands of political prisoners that are in Iran right now?”
I highly recommend watching this video if you want to know what’s really going on in Iran:
Other videos show the people of Iran celebrating Soleimani’s death, tearing down posters of the dead general while crowds of people cheer:
“It’s cultural practice in the Middle East when something wonderful happens… you give out cookies, you make cakes,” Kasraie goes on to say. “You should see the videos that are coming out. People are baking cakes. People are giving out cookies in public, and in the streets because they are happy.”
