Ilhan Omar’s calls to abolish ICE are starting to make sense, as she is now the center of multiple agency investigations.
The Blaze reports that at least two federal agencies were contacted by the FBI with information regarding Rep. Omar. These agencies are Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the Department of Education.
Allegations against Ilhan Omar include, but aren’t limited to, committing student loan fraud, as well as “a breathtaking number of possible immigration-related felonies.”
The Minnesota Star Tribune gives a nice little timeline of Rep. Omar’s interesting marriage situation:

1982: Ilhan Omar is born in Somalia, the youngest of seven children.

1997: Omar, still a teenager, settles in the Cedar-Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis after fleeing Somalia’s civil war with her family and spending four years in a refugee camp in Kenya.

2002: Omar, now 19, marries Ahmed Hirsi, 22, in their “faith tradition” in Minnesota, but they don’t legally marry.

2008: Omar and Hirsi, now the parents of two children, reach an “impasse in our life together” and divorce in their faith tradition.

2009: Omar, at 26, marries Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, 23, whom she identifies only as a “British citizen.” School records show he attended high school in St. Paul and studied art at North Dakota State University.

2011: Omar and Elmi end their relationship and divorce in their faith tradition, but do not legally divorce until 2017.

2012: Omar and Hirsi reconcile and have a third child together.

2014–15: Omar files joint tax returns with Hirsi, though they are not yet legally married; she remains legally married to Elmi.

2016: Omar, endorsed by the DFL over longtime incumbent Phyllis Kahn, is elected to the Minnesota House, becoming the first Somali-American, Muslim legislator in the United States. But her campaign is rocked by allegations in a Somali news forum and the conservative Power Line blog suggesting that Elmi is her brother and they married for unspecified immigration benefits.

2017: Omar is granted a legal divorce from Elmi.

2018: Omar legally marries Hirsi and is elected to Congress.
According to the Star Tribune back in June of 2019:
“Investigative documents released by a state agency have given fresh life to lingering questions about the marital history of Rep. Ilhan Omar and whether she once married a man — possibly her own brother — to skirt immigration laws.”
Omar has vehemently denied these allegations, but refuses to provide documents or answer specific questions when pressed.
“We choose not to further the narrative of those who oppose us,” Omar’s statement said back in October of 2018, adding that the allegations were made up by people who don’t want a black muslim woman in congress.
David Steinberg over at The Blaze broke the story:
I followed up on Johnson and Samsundar’s investigation in early 2018. A year later, the proportions of the verifiable case against Omar resemble that against a Batman villain. A comical number of likely felonies, all backed by gobsmacking evidence: Certified state and federal documents; certified UK government documents; archived state public school records; archived U.S. and UK address records; verifiably unmanipulated digital photographs; corroborating statements from Omar herself; corroborating statements from Omar’s ex-husband himself; several years of social media posts from Omar’s verified accounts; and several years of suddenly deleted social media posts from Omar’s verified accounts.
And that’s before we reach the good stuff.
Don’t expect the mainstream media to report on this, which is why people like you need to make others aware of what’s going on in our country.
If these allegations prove to be true, then they show just how dangerous our nation’s immigration policies are.
To think this would be an isolated incident is naive at best. Ilhan Omar, and her brother/husband didn’t come up with these scams. These schemes have been tested and proven to work over and over again by millions of people before, and we’ve had “leaders” in government refusing to do anything about it.
